Refurbs Flint is excited to celebrate Second-hand September – a month of championing sustainable living. This campaign encourages individuals to embrace the value and sustainability of second-hand goods while reducing their environmental impact.
Second-hand September is a global initiative that encourages consumers to shift their spending habits away from new items and toward secondhand, pre-owned, and vintage items. It highlights the importance of reusing and repurposing items to reduce waste and lower carbon emissions. This is something Refurbs Flint have promoted since the beginning.
Amy Cleary Operations Manager at Refurbs Flint said: “Here at Refurbs, we are passionate about championing the benefits of championing and reusing, not just for the environment but for our wallets.
“If you’re having a clear out, consider donating your unwanted items of furniture this Second-hand September. You’ll help someone else join in the movement and reduce your environmental impact.”
The Flint-based charity offers a free collection service across the Flintshire and Denbighshire area, so if you have an item that you’d like to donate today please email admin@refurbs.org.uk with your name and a contact number and include details and pictures (if possible) of the items you wish to donate.
Refurbs Flint can be found on the Aber Park Industrial Estate and boasts three large showrooms full of affordable, quality household appliances and furniture.
