Golden Grants are awarded twice a year and are part of the Tesco Stronger Starts, £5million grant programme. The grants programme is administered by Groundwork UK with Groundwork North Wales looking after the scheme for the North and Mid Wales area.

Parkfield’s popular Kid’s Club and Youth Club have received a welcome boost through Tesco’s Stronger Starts grant programme, helping them continue their mission to provide free, engaging activities for local children and young people, as well as providing free hot food.

“This amazing donation will help fund our family open day in August, where we’ll have fun activities such as an animal experience, bouncy castle and face painting. The grant will provide a fun day where the whole community can get together.” - Nicci, Youth Worker, Parkfields Community Centre.

Tesco Stronger Starts is part of the retailer’s commitment to supporting grassroots projects that benefit children and the community across the UK.

The Tesco Stronger start scheme is open for applications until Monday 11th August for the Oct-Dec voting round. You can find out more about the scheme, and how to apply HERE. Since Tesco launched its Community Grants programme in 2016, more than £100 million has been given to more than 50,000 local schools and community groups.
